Friends of Lake Louisa State Park

Mission

The Friends of Lake Louisa State Park, Inc. is a Citizen Support Organization (CSO) that provides support for the preservation, protection, interpretation, and promotion of Lake Louisa State Park through events and activities.  Events held annually include Equine Obstacle Trail Challenge, Nature Fest, Poochapaloosa, Haunted Hike and our annual 5k Race. Monthly meetings are held at the park administrative offices on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.

As a non-profit organization, The Friends relies on members, volunteers, and donations to fulfill its mission to enhance the park and actively engage community support and to aid Lake Louisa State Park in its ongoing mission the provide resource-based recreation, promote public awareness of the environment, and restore native habitats.

DATE OF INCORPORATION: July 15, 2001 (as the Friends of Lake Louisa State Parks, Inc.)

Florida State Parks Foundation, Inc. is tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
