Membership
As a nonprofit organization, The Friends relies on members, volunteers and donations to fulfill its mission to “enhance the park and actively engage community support”. Members with all types of skills are needed to administer the corporation, organize and run events, and work on park projects. Donations and funds raised by the Friends are used exclusively for the benefit of the park to supplement the park budget and to fund projects, education programs and community outreach activities. If you care about the park, nature, outdoor recreation and environmental education there is no better way to get involved than becoming a Friend.
By joining the Friends of Lake Louisa State Park you become a member of a national and state award-winning non-profit organization. Your tax-deductible membership fee provides you with the opportunity to contribute to public education, help protect the environment, and preserve Lake County’s beautiful and important natural and recreational resources. Member benefits also include free entry to the park on the first Saturday of each month.
The Friends meet monthly at 6:30 pm on the second Monday at the Park administrative offices.
